Harold Mace was born in Kanab, Utah. He worked as a professional photographer in the 1940's & 50's and in that capacity he documented people, places and activities in and around the city of Kanab, Kane County and Fredonia, Arizona. His subjects included events, plus portraits of adults, children and families. He also documented school classes, sports teams, homes, businesses, and almost anything of historic interest. The family of Mr. Mace donated all of his photographs, negatives and equipment to the Kanab Heritage Museum and the collection is so extensive that we are continually working to catalogue, preserve and display this tremendous body of work.
